Description

Get ready to head back to the East Coast as Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories returns to mobile devices. With shorter, streamlined missions designed with mobile gameplay in mind, this definitive open-world adventure has been remastered for Android with extensive graphic enhancements, rebalanced touch controls and cross platform saves. Former trusted wise guy for the Leone family, Toni Cipriani returns home to Liberty City after spending time in hiding for killing a made man. Now, the streets of Liberty City are in turmoil, as warring families vie for control and the town begins to self-destruct under waves of political corruption, organized crime, drug trafficking and union strikes. Deranged hit men, morally depraved tycoons, cynical politicians and even his own mother stand in the way as Toni tries to bring the city under Leone family control.

Review

This game is a masterpiece. Mobile Port is the ultimate way to play this game. If you are collecting all the GTA games like I am, this is not a bad way to play. This is the only version that supports 1080p. The PlayStation 2 version has a longer draw distance, but is only compatible with 480i. The PSP is 240p even lower. With a Bluetooth controller, this is pretty much the best official way to play. It's definitely better than the PSP version and arguably better than the PS2 version. I am running the latest IOS for iPhone 7plus. I had no issues with the "Calm Before the Storm" glitch or glitch, however after reaching the second island and doing a bunch of missions, decided to crash after completing Leon McAffrey's last mission and receiving a call from Donald Love to go meet him. The "D" appeared again on the map, then mysteriously disappeared and I can't complete anything else. The only icons shown are the church bell, the armories, and my apartments. I can't even do the confessional missions of the Church, the app just closes. So now I'm stuck with money and guns and nothing to do except drive and listen to Reni talk about nipple clamps (no, I don't love her comments, but still). I saved my game in the Social Club slot. I removed the app and reinstalled it and still no luck. The game was fun and brought back memories of when I had it on my PSP ... now it's a huge disappointment. I have no bug or crash issues with San Andreas on my iPhone, but this game is very frustrating. I'm giving it three stars in the hope that this can be fixed with some kind of update and because the game is fun, until it crashes.
